EHS 360 -- Program Planning &
Evaluation in Human Services
Syllabus
Spring 2005
Dr. Susan Cramer
Course Description: The knowledge and
skills involved in planning, management, and evaluation of programs
in the human services.
Prerequisites: Completion of or concurrent
enrollment in Intermediate Field Experience in Human Services (EHS 325).
Course Objectives
The student will:
1. Plan a program, accompanying evaluation, and supporting materials.
2. Identify funding sources then write a grant proposal to fund a program.
3. Develop electronic presentation, brochure, and web site materials
to accompany program proposal.
4. Work cooperatively with peers and (optional) a human service agency
on developing program, grant proposal, and supporting materials.

2. Williams, R. (any edition). The Non-Designer's
Design Book Design and Typographic Principles for the Visual Novice.

3. Dvoracek, N. (any edition) PowerPoint and Digital Imaging Manual.

* Attendance - expected. If you are unable to make
class, please email the instructor and your partner to alert them as
to your location. Five points lost per absence.
* Homework Expectations - For each hour in class anticipate
spending three hours outside of class completing course readings and
working on projects.
Grading
Grades will be based on quality and quantity of work submitted. You
determine the grade you would like then complete associated assignments.
