Application Process:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis considers applicants twice a year. All application materials must be in the University of Wisconsin Madison Admissions Office by April 1 for summer and fall admission, and November 1 for spring admission. (There is a special admission cycle for licensure only students with a due date of July 1, 2008. Contact Shari Smith for more details.) Materials will be submitted electroncially to the University of Wisconsin Madison Graduate School https://www.gradsch.wisc.edu/eapp/eapp.pl. Applications which are not 100% complete will not be considered. Direct questions regarding Madison courses, certification, timetables, etc. to Shari Smith, Graduate Admissions Examiner, at 608-263-2701 or email ssmith@education.wisc.edu.

One of the required documents is your Statement of Purpose. This document should clearly articulate your philosophy and rationale for acceptance into the Educational Administration program. Include your interest in administration, professional objectives, and career goals. This is an important document, write it carefully. Once you have been admitted into the ELPA program, the UW Oshkosh Graduate Studies Office will be contacted to change your program status to ELPA student.
