Audacity VideosThese videos demonstrate how to setup and use Audacity to record audio files and to convert them to MP3 files that can be used in a Podcast. Screen capture software links. Before you begin viewing the Audacity videos, I recommend you download and print out Nick Dvoracek's Audacity Handout. I also recommend you have Audacity installed and running while you are viewing the videos. By having Audacity running, you will be able to switch between the videos and Audacity. (6:08 Minutes) Microsoft Windows users can install Audacity portable on their USB flash drive. Using Audacity portable will allow you to do your recording on any Windows machine with out having to install it on the computer. You can download the files using this link. Remember this is for Windows only not Mac users.If you have a Mac you can use GarageBand to record or download Audacity for the Mac.
If you would like to install Audacity on your computer, you will need to download it from the Audacity web site at: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ After you select your operating system, you will be able to download Audacity and the LAME MP3 encoder from the same page.
